After fixing the bugs with weapons and unequipped greyed-out items post job change (used to cause negative stats). We think we have finally completely fixed the bug that can increases weapon damage (and must be worked at to cause said bug). Alter stones have been fixed in the same way the weapons themselves and greyed equipment had been fixed and thus the issue should be solved completely. (We forgot all about alter stones)

2/16 2nd mini update


Fixed few minor issues with alter stones and passive skills applying to damage at times... very minor and should be the last of the issues we hope for damage bugs.

The 99/100 inventory issue when attempting to buyback has been fixed.

The zeny cap when selling items has been fixed.

Fixed a typo in one of the spawn files, so now Peisus and Pertus spawn in Blue Echo (before 2 Peisus were spawning)

Stainler's (not fry) loot files have been fixed (for some reason they were blank) so they now drop dirty towel's and other things.

Dirty Towel drop rate has been slightly increased (and now drops from Stainler Frys and Stainlers.. see above fix)

2/19 ... close enough


An issue with changing weapon types at the Blacksmith which could cause problems has been fixed.

Enchanter's Ice Bolt and Recruit's Disarm effects should now work properly agian thanks to fooby's retarded logic.

EDIT: if freezing shot is also effected, that fix will wait till tomorrow (during the day 2/19)

A few mob skills were causing mobs to make themselves stay at their max casting distance. These skills have been fixed and the mobs should behave normally (this has not been fixed, a fix has been found and requires more work, will be implemented soon)


Recruit: Freezing shot's effect should work correctly now.

Trading has been rewritten and is fully functional without any issues. Both players must now accept the trades before it is processed, items will not be lost if the target does not have enough inventory space. Trading partial and full stacks of the same item work fine, and you can trade 8 items at once without issues.

Due to various reasons poro island and alf dungeon maps are not redone (spawns) but will be at some point after I get back home on tuesday (leaving sun).

Alfheim Dungeon map (goblin forest), has been redone and should be fixed. The mobs should not jitter as they do on Poro Island and Alfheim Forest (will be fixed next) and the issue with ranged mobs forcing themselves to stay at max range will not occur anymore.

Minor Bug Fixes
Two Wing of Wind warps: "Adventurer training ground" and "Southern nordic swamp" have been fixed.

Game Mechanics
Defense has had its final modification added. This system will reduce the effectiveness of a targets defense by 2% starting when it is 5 levels lower than the attacker with greater reduction the larger the difference. Every additional level the target is lower will be another 2% reduction to the effectiveness of the targets defense. This applies to both players and mobs, so if a swordsman is 10 levels lower than the mob they are fighting, the players DEF will be 10% less effective against that mob's attacks compared to a mob which is 4 or less levels above the player.

Server Additions
The "all class armor exchange" system has been added to the game, over 150 items in all. This will allow players to obtain armors which are wearable by any class but have the appearance of specific class armors. These items have no stats, but give players the ability to "create customized outfits" for each of their characters regardless of class. Players can obtain coupons to trade for the all class armors either by gathering items, or higher level players can exchange zeny for these coupons. The "Lower level coupons" cost 10,000 zeny and the "Higher level coupons" cost 20,000 zeny. The armor traders work just like the current coupon exchangers, and there are two types of coupons, one for "higher level requirement" and "lower level requirement" items. All items from these traders only cost one coupon.

These NPC's are found in Prontera, next to the benches on the brige over the pond. Near the southern bench, Egon will trade coupons for either items or for zeny. Near the north bench Vanda Acton will exchange "Lower level coupons" for items, and Serahina Falke who has a larger variety of items will exchange "Higher level coupons" for items.

Now to avoid confusion, please note that this system is complete but the UI will not be until we release our next CLIENT patch which will come with the skill overhaul update. None of the traders have titles and Egon, the trader who trades coupons in exchange for either items or zeny, has the same "trade menu" as the prontera Headgear trader, and the coupons are not labled as "lower level all class exchange coupon" but rather state for level 71-80 armor and 90-99 armors. With the next client patch the trader will have a new menu of trades and the coupons will have new names and descriptions. For now this is a list of what each trade is actually for (the information listed for each trade is correct, only the TITLES for the trade MENU are incorrect):

"Candy Bar Exchange" =======Lower level coupon for ITEMS trade
"Star Headband Exchange" ====Higher level coupon for ITEMS trade
"Beardoll Hat Exchange" ======Lower level coupon for MONEY trade
"Crab Pin Exchange" ========Higher level coupon for MONEY trade
"Angel Ring Exchange"=======NOT USED

I am open to adding more "all class items" to these traders. So if you feel I left out a specific item please post it with the Item ID# in the suggestions forum. Please note, all items will be made NON traceable in the near future as I had originally planned. However, until the client patch they will not state the items are non-tradeable.

3/26/2010 mini patch

All Class Armor Coupon Exchange:
I have changed the required items for BOTH the low and high level coupons for ITEM trades. VadonZ Clockwheel, Broken Soul Ring, Cat Bell and Burnt Candle have been replaced with other more easily gather-able items.

Emir 1
All spawn groups have been reduced to single spawns, I have also applied the "size" fix that I did to Cog_D02 to help alleviate some pathing and BSP issues. Also the agro radius for all Emir 1 mobs (some are also outside emir) has been reduced to be the same as cog_D02... now the bridge TO mermen town should be a little less dangerous.

Skills
The skill system has be overhauled, now every skill requires a specific weapon type(s) to be used. Also each job has 4 skills which are now available as specialty skills. Also the skill books have been redistributed and are now listed in a more logical order and can be found in cities based on that areas level range. This allows players the full use of the multiple weapon and complex job systems gravity had the "idea" for, allowing players to have a "sub-class" and experiment with skill and stat combination's.

Specific Skills
Magnum Break, and Mocking Blow now have a larger radius.

Cog_D02 boss's AoE now has smaller radius

Heal: has been buffed slightly and scales better.

Appeal Sympathy: The skill has been brought down to a more appropriate standing (nerfed). Level 1 reduces AP by 15%, and increases 3% per level up to 30% at level 6. The chance for the ability to "work" has not been changed.


Mail and the Auction House
When a player buys an item, if buyer or seller has full mailbox they won't get their zeny or item but the transaction will complete. Meaning if the sellers mailbox is full, people can buy their items off the Auction House but the seller will not receive the money from the AH. HOWEVER, if you attempt to MAIL something to a player whose box is full, you will receive the error "that persons mailbox is full" and the letter will not be sent instead of having the letter and attached items "disappear" like they do from the AH.

The name of sender now appears correctly


Mounts
"Bullet Bill" and "Arrow Bill" mounts have been added to the game. You can find these at any "YggRO2 Custom Shop/Dye and Swift Potion vendors" via a TRADES (not the SHOP). Bullet Bill gives +100% speed, Arrow Bill gives +60%. Both override any other speed modifiers (swift potions, rapid run, etc) when active. Mounts CEASE to be active while a player is in combat, thus other speed modifiers function normally under those circumstances.


Loot
Shields, Capes and Backpacks 35-75 have had their drop rate increased, and drop from more mobs.


Bug Fixes
Stun effects now work properly against mobs (they were correct before but did not work with the AI, a workaround has been found)

Emotes: should not get mob's attention anymore

Weapons: Deactivates properly when weapon breaks

Zeny: Zeny will cap at 214,748 zeny, 3647 rufi instead of going negative above that value.

Looting: Looting with 99/100 inventory is fixed

All Class armors have been set as Un-tradable server side. However these items have not been changed client side and can still be put into auction, trade and mail windows. Players trying to sell All Class Items being on the AH, or over CHAN will receive a 24 hour ban.



UI changes
Custom traders (All class armor) now have titles

All Class Armor Coupon have had their names changed

All custom TRADES have correct titles for their trades and trader menu's

Mobs
Most mobs (except cog_D02 mobs) have had their dodge"nerfed" as some of the 40+ mobs had little dodge while some lower mobs had much higher dodge (even different versions of the same mob). While the Dodge system is working just fine (unlike other servers who do not have dodge or hit functioning at all), I feel it is best to implement this "nerf" now to ease early leveling. However this is NOT permanent, nor does it affect "dodge"in any way

Just like mob's EXP needs to be completely redone I plan to balance ALL mobs dodge correctly with the release of the final leveling zone (next patch). That patch will also include balanced Elite's and MVP's throughout the world (hopefully all of them).

Updates

Emulator code has been partially cleaned up overall.

Skills
Clown buffs now work as auras with a sight range radius (They will apply and deapply to party members when you enter or leave sight range). This currently applies to fighting spirit, and healing wave. The clown redesign will not happen not until AFTER the next client patch which will contain the new 85-99 dungeon.


Server changes
Stone of Promise will fail if the destination map is the same as the origin map to prevent the skill from locking up

Mob max hp can now be increased to 3,932,100,000 instead of 65,535 (which is a client limitation, but a work around has been created removing the need for high DEF for dungeon mobs)

When buffs/debuffs are added to a mob or character, only those in sight range will see it in their log instead of the whole map as it was before.

Hit has been made much more effective now, mob evasion will be re-increased next patch (a bit ago I basically set them all to nill)

The Yggleaf will now res the dead player, ontop of the Yggleaf user... Meaning if the player died in say lava, or the middle of a group of mobs they can be resurrected safely instead of appearing where their corpse was.

Mob chase speed functions better now (animation speed is still messed up)



Bug Fixes

Mobs
Mobs will no longer freeze when you die and respawn at the heal location when you are the only person on the map.

Frozen aggressive mobs (Francoous) will actually aggro users now.


Skills
Backstab works correctly now (mobs will turn properly when facing attacker and backstab crit rate is no longer 100%)

Shield block should work correctly now: Decreases walk speed and attack speed, reflects attacks and user can not use skills while active. Note it is a 25% chance to reflect, not 100% chance to reflect 25% of damage received. When you reflect, the auto attack animation is called and damage is shown in the combat log.


Generic Fixes
Map items no longer override other learned maps in the same area. Meaning zones with 2 or more "map" items to learn, you can now learn all maps without issues once again

Karma stones are functional

Job change/change weapon -attack bug should no longer happen (due to POOR client UI design and spamming of buttons)

The luck stat from equipment will display properly in the character window when added

Yell should broadcast to the whole map instead of just the surrounding region

The secondary shield stats will not be added to your character. Only the shield you are using will

Shields will display properly to other users now instead of just the 1st set's shield

Possible fix for some of the party crash issues(unable to fully test)
Users that have the bug that gives them multiple levels of the same skill at the same time should have the bug removed from them when they log in next (Unable to test)

GM mute can no longer be removed by re-logging and only counts down when the user is logged on (10 minute mute means you have to be online for 10 minutes for the mute to go away)
